If you've been looking for a taste of Thailand without leaving Baguio, I think I just found your next favorite spot.
Dee Thai Kitchen is located on the 2nd Floor of the Mines View Observation Deck, One Building, Outlook Drive, Baguio City, just right above 7-Eleven, so it's pretty easy to find. The location alone already gives you a nice view, but honestly the food is the real reason to go.
What I Tried
Let me walk you through what I ordered because there's a lot to talk about.
I started with the Mango Sticky Rice - a classic Thai dessert done right. Sweet, creamy, and exactly what you'd expect from an authentic Thai kitchen. If you've had it in Thailand before, this one will bring you right back.
The Krapao Moo Saab was next, and this one hit. It's savory, a little spicy, and pairs perfectly with rice. Very straightforward but very good.
Then there's the Spice Beef Kebab - a Thai-Mediterranean fusion dish that honestly surprised me. It's not something you'd expect to find on a Thai menu, but it works really well and adds a nice variety to the spread.
The Nangkhai Thot Platter featuring Tom Yum and Salted Egg Chicken-Flavored Chicken Skin was a crowd favorite.
If you're into crispy chicken skin and who isn't this platter is for you. The Tom Yum flavor is bold, and the Salted Egg version is dangerously addictive.
And my new personal favorite? The Peach Ube Sticky Rice. I was not expecting much, but this one completely won me over. The combination of peach and ube in a sticky rice dessert is something you just have to try for yourself. Trust me on this one.
